The Dog House, On Coventry

We are always on the search for excellent wine, fine chocolate ... and a good hot dog.

To that end, Foodgoat recently checked out the Dog House, the new-ish hot dog place over on Coventry.  It doesn't have quite as a good a name as Mustard's Last Stand, but the hot dogs were excellent.  Here's the Some Like It Hot and the vibrantly colored Chicago Dog, both of which were yummy and left us wanting more.  We'll definitely be heading back there soon.

  1. Have you tried / heard about the dogs at Happy Dog? I went for the first time last week and really enjoyed the dog although the tater tots were a bit of a let down.

Knowing your feelings about bacon, you'd probably also like the Atomic Dog at ABC Tavern, a deep fried, jalapeno stuffed, bacon wrapped hot dog.

  3. @Live - I am always up for anything that is a)deep fried, b)jalapeno stuffed, or c)bacon wrapped, so something that has all 3? Sounds crazy! Or good! Or both!

@Thomas - You know, I don't think I've ever had wine with hot dogs? How is that possible? Must correct this oversight at the next available opportunity!

  4. The Fried Noodles with chicken was just bad - the chicken was bad (chewy, not good pieces of chicken), the noodles didn't seem to be cooked right, and it had no flavor. Taxi Coventry to London
