Hello I don't know you and I don't know your name, I just came across your site and saw the shingles !! Oh god that looks terrible!! I do have a special homegrown plant that would be great help (but I need to check with my mom and see if it's available) I don't mind dry them and send it over to you.
ReplyDelete(Sorry about the email, I am not in associated with Nigella or anyone who has a food blog).
Take care and get well :)
hey, reading your blog (I think i did a search for pineapple and came up on your site, nice BPT sandwich. Shingles: I just got em, can I asked what you did for after care? I know its kinda all gross, but if you don't maind talking about it, I would appreciate.
ReplyDeleteCheers! SaraB
Ah the shingles, I still remember the pain... Heck I still feel the pain two years later.
ReplyDeleteSara, I wish you well. The only thing that seems to "work" was many many hot baths with oatmeal powder. Try to sleep as much as you can, at least it doesn't hurt when you are unconscience.
The day the blister start to pop, rejoice! its the beginning of the end.
Beware, the pain may never go away. For a whole year, I would be shocked by sudden sharp pain. Its very random- but becomes less frequent as the years pass.
Oh, don't pass up painkillers like I did. If the doctor ask you- tell him/her YES I would like some painkillers.
Good luck.
